Sunday: Ordinary 27C, Proper 22C

The righteous will live by faith

Sentence
'Who is greater, the one who is at table or the one who serves? But I am among you,' says the Lord, 'as one who serves.' Luke 22:27

Collects
Almighty God, creator of all things and giver of every good and perfect gift, hear with favour the prayers of your people, that we who are justly punished for our offences may mercifully be delivered by your goodness, for the glory of your name; through Jesus Christ our Saviour, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. BCP. Septuegesima

Let us pray [that God will forgive our failings and bring us peace.]
Father, your love for us surpasses all our hopes and desires. Forgive our failings, keep us in your peace, and lead us in the way of salvation. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Faithful God, have mercy on us your unworthy servants, and increase our faith, that, trusting in your Spirit's power to work in us and through us, we may never be ashamed to witness to our Lord but may obediently serve him all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. APBA

O be joyful in the Lord
Be still and know that I am God
Those who trust in the Lord
